Yay Obama!!!!!

We are STOKED that Obama won. It was our first time voting, and what a sweet first time voting experience.

Ben Kweller

So went to Ben kweller last night. Super fun. Best person to see EVER. 

(Note from Derek) Hey Heidi, remember when I was a little baby boy and we went and saw Ben Kweller and Dashboard Confessional? That was really fun.  I couldn't help but to think of that when he was playing the same songs that I remember him playing way back then. Cheers.

Okay so here is the sitch.... Halloween in Austin Texas is the CRAZIEST thing ever. I have never experienced anything like it in my life. Picture thousands of people all together on one street, ALL dressed up. I mean EVERYONE. It was so bizarre. It was like walking through movie sets. I mean these people don't mess around. They spend hours and hours on their costumes. Some of them looked like they just walked straight out of the movies. It was nuts. So The day started off with me dressing up for work. I dressed up as Clementine from  the movie Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind( Michelle I knew you would get a kick out of that since you said she reminded you of me, haha) and Derek was supposed to dress up as the dude from the Big lebowski. I failed as a wife and didn't get all the parts of his costume together so he went as Twinkie the kid instead. Later on that night we met up with our friends Logan and Sandy to go down town to 6th street. Oh man.... So much fun! It was a blast checking out all the costumes. Then after we went to a party with people that Logan and Sandy knew in high school. overall a FANTASTIC Halloween. We sure did miss all you guys, and hope that you all had just as much fun!

My little Clementine potato i made. I actually lost it down town later that night. I left it in a bathroom at pizza place. I was super bummed, but the thought of someone finding it and being like " what the potato person?" made me feel better.

So I was trying to take a pic of Charlie in his hot dog costume and he jumped right as

Getting ready at Logan and Sandy's house. She had me come over and curl her hair. I ended up holding the blow dryer on her fake blood forever. 

This feather duster ended up braking. and i ended up with a lot of feathers in my bag. lucky me:)

Getting down town! There was absolutely no parking anywhere cause everyone and there dog went down town, but Sandy had a sweet hook up at her old job the Austin club. So we got to park for free! Yay! Thanks Sandy!

Derek is the cutest twinkie in the world.

So this guy was just walking around making weird sounds. WEIRDO! 

These people had this set up in the street so you could go take pictures by them. They were dressed super creepster. but it was nice of them to commit their whole Halloween to letting people take pics with them. I would never do that.

These guys were dressed as a giant version of Tetris. They would move around and make different shapes. Totally cool.

At the party I met this trippy hippie named Sunshine. She was funny.

Pumpkin Carving Fest

Ya Halloween! We had our friends Logan, Sandy, Colby,  and Tyler(aka Hobbs) over to our apt a couple days before Halloween to carve pumpkins. It was so much fun! Logan's was the best by far, he did Jack from the Nightmare before Christmas and the hill. Derek, Hobbs, and Colby all teamed up on pumpkin together and Sandy and I did our own. My Porch was Pumpkin massacre. Charlie kept eating all the pumpkin Insides like they were candy. He was pooping pumpkin stings for days. SICK!
